lyrics
Follow your honour and fight by your Father
In Battle find Glory, find Glory in Death
Keep hold of your sword as the ground drinks your blood
Dead on the field, you will find what you seek
The Golden Gates open, the valkyrje fly
The souls of the slain ride into the Hall
The King of the Gods bids a welcome to all:
"Brothers, stand tall, for the end comes soon."
Comrades in arms, the valiant heroes of old
Battle by daylight and feast by the moon
Lords of the Lore of the World and its Ways
Knowing the Days to come, so dark
Each firm in his purpose, they'll fight to the last
The virtuous einherjar, fearsome and bold
The Wrath of the Gods kept their judgment at bay
Till their Last Day, when Men shall fall
On the field of Ragnarok we stand
Our warcry echoes to the stars
Many a battle we've fought to reach this land
This will be our last
Face to face with the armies of the South
Death and bloodshed rule this day
The Horn is sounded, the charge is begun
Our strength will be undone

Allow me to copy Pagan Altar's third album title to describe not only III:Pentecost but the whole discography of Wytch Hazel so far: well, yes, it's Magical and Mythical!!! A must-have for the lovers of 70's hard sound revival. BoneWalker

If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
